Fun type animation for a start-up barista company’s branding
AI creation, Motion
Requirement
Having built a proof of concept barista-quality multi-location coffee machine, Unity Coffee were in need of bringing their branding to life on the innovative LED panel that it features.
With the budget and deadline only allowing for a few days work it was going to be intense work to deliver a polished end result.
Solution
These AI exports were then recreated as closely as possible in After Effects using the original vector artwork so we could have absolute control over the final output.
Using the fresh branding designed by Studio Boult, I drew on multiple resources, predominantly AI, to help create playful ideas for fluid-like transitions between various messaging layouts.

A quick mock-up was created from a couple of the initial AI outputs and uploaded to the machine for testing.
AI reference and After Effects
From the hundreds of AI exports several were selected as suitable reference for recreating in After Effects.
Results
The end result looks “fucking awesome”, as the client himself said. Given the project's time frame and output, I’m inclined to agree. Next steps for the company are PR and funding, so hoping this project will expand much further.
